Contacts are external individuals who:- Subscribe to newsletters
- Donate without creating accounts
- Attend public events
- Have business relationships with your organization
- Are potential future members
Contacts are different from Members. Members have accounts and can log in. Contacts are external records.
Contact Information
Basic Fields
Contact’s full name.
Primary email address for communication.
Phone number.
Physical address.
Location
Contact’s country.
Contact’s city/town.
Associated Local Center (if applicable).
Professional Information
Contact’s company or organization.
Job title or role.
Role within their organization.
Company Details
Company name (for business contacts).
Company tax ID or registration number.
Company registration number.
Company address.
Social Media
LinkedIn profile URL.
Twitter/X handle.
Instagram handle.
Creating Contacts
Manual Creation

Navigate to Contacts
Go to Contacts in the sidebar.

Click Create Contact
Click the + Create Contact button.

Fill in details
Enter name, email, and other relevant information.

Set preferences
Configure newsletter subscription and status.

Save
Click Save to create the contact.
Automatic Creation
Contacts are automatically created when:- Someone donates without an account
- Someone subscribes to your newsletter
- Someone registers for a public event
- Imported from external systems
Newsletter Management
Subscription Status
Whether the contact is subscribed to newsletters.
Subscribing Contacts
- Edit the contact
- Toggle Newsletter Subscription on
- Save
Unsubscribing
Contacts can unsubscribe via:- Link in newsletter emails
- Contact preferences
- Admin manually updating
Contact Status & Tags
Status Tracking
Current status of the contact (Lead, Active, Inactive, etc.).
When the status was last changed.
Tags
Add tags to categorize contacts:- Donor
- Newsletter
- Event Attendee
- Partner
- Vendor
- (Custom tags)
Import & Export
Importing Contacts
Import contacts from CSV files:1
Prepare CSV
Create CSV with columns: name, email, phone, country, town, etc.

Navigate to Import
Go to Contacts → Import.

Upload CSV
Select your CSV file.

Map fields
Match CSV columns to contact fields.

Review and import
Preview the import and confirm.
Exporting Contacts
Export contacts for external use:- Go to Contacts
- Apply filters if needed
- Click Export
- Download CSV file
Custom Fields
Add custom fields to track additional information:- Go to Settings → Custom Fields
- Create fields for Contacts
- Fields appear on contact forms

Converting Contacts to Members

Find the contact
Search for the contact in the Contacts list.

Use the Create Account action.
