The referral system is integrated with the invitation feature. When members invite others and those invitations are accepted, the referral is tracked.Enable referral tracking. When on, the system records who referred each new member.
Configuration
If set, new users must be referred by an existing member to register. This creates an invite-only membership model.

How Referrals Work

Member sends invitation
Existing member invites someone using the invitation feature.

Invitee registers
New user clicks the invitation link and completes registration.

Referral recorded
The system links the new member to their referrer.

Stats updated
Referrer’s count increases and appears in their referral stats.
What’s Tracked
- Referrer (who sent the invitation)
- Referee (who joined)
- Date of referral
- Status (pending, completed)

For Administrators
Access referral reports to see:- Top referrers
- Referral trends over time
- Conversion rates (invites sent vs. accepted)
For Members
Members can see their own referral activity:- Number of successful referrals
- Status of pending invitations
- Who they’ve referred
Invite-Only Mode
WhennumberOfReferralsNeededForSignup is set to 1 or more:
- Public registration is disabled
- Users must receive an invitation to register
- The registration page shows a message explaining the invite-only policy
- Invited users can register normally
