  2. Identity documents uploaded
  3. OCR verification (if enabled)
  4. Manual review by administrator
  5. Approval with verified identity

Use Cases

Verify credentials and qualifications before granting membership.
Organizations that don’t accept all applicants can review and select members.
Meet regulatory requirements for member verification and documentation.
Use adhesion as part of a structured onboarding process.

Best Practices

Tell applicants how long review typically takes. Fast response improves member satisfaction.
When returning applications to draft, provide clear feedback on what needs to be fixed.
Make sure the admin email is monitored so applications don’t sit unreviewed.
Keep records of why applications are rejected for compliance and consistency.
When adhesion is mandatory, users who haven’t completed the process will have limited platform access. Make sure your application process isn’t a barrier to legitimate members.
